PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE
F/T Union Position, 35 hrs per week
Salary: $64,910 - $73,015 per annum

Responsibilities :

The Psychological Associate provides a range of psychological services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and consultation to the more complex and high need/risk children, adolescents and families. The Psychological Associate requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Emotional maturity, patience, tact and resourcefulness are essential.

Requirements:

This position requires a Master of Psychology degree from a recognized and accredited university and maintains registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and has several years experience in children’s mental health. The incumbent must be fully registered with the CPO, including the ability to diagnosis and communicate a diagnosis without supervision. Demonstrated skills in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional, behavioural and learning problems are essential. Knowledge of legislation governing children and adolescents is an asset.

The Psychological Associate requires excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to relate effectively with children, adolescents, parents and other mental health professionals is essential. The Psychological Associate requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Emotional maturity, patience, tact and resourcefulness are essential. The applicant must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License. Experience with a Microsoft Word and proficient keyboarding skills are required.
